What the site receives
- Technical records. Like every website, the company that delivers these pages (Cloudflare) processes each request: IP address, time, browser type. It keeps this for a short time, for security and to keep the site running. We do not use it to identify you.
- Your answer about cookies. "Yes" or "no" is kept in your browser, so you are not asked on every page. It is not sent to us.
- Visit statistics, only if you say yes. See below.
If you write to us, we keep your mail for as long as the conversation needs.
Google Analytics, only with your yes
We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It is switched on only after you press "Yes, count my visit". The legal ground is your consent.
With your yes, Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and sends Google the pages you open, roughly where you are (country and city, worked out from your IP address, which is not stored), and what kind of device and browser you use. Google Ireland Limited processes this for us; some of it may be handled by Google in the United States, under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
| Cookie | What it is for | How long it stays |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Tells one visitor from another | Up to 2 years |
| _ga_… | Keeps a visit together | Up to 2 years |
The site sets no other cookies. Its fonts and pictures are served from this site, not from other companies.
Changing your mind
Press here or at the bottom of any page and choose again. Saying no removes the Google Analytics cookies from your browser. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser's own settings.
Your rights
Data protection law (the GDPR) gives you the right to see the data held about you, to correct it, to delete it, to limit or object to its use, and to withdraw a consent you gave. Write to us to use them.
You may also complain to a data protection authority. In Italy that is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali; you may also turn to the authority of the EU country where you live.
Changes
If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
